Discover An Unforgettable Escape
Immerse yourself in the enchanting forest fairy tale of Honeydown, where anyone and everyone can revel in the secluded beauty of our oak woodland.
Indulge in our handcrafted wooden domes, lovingly known as ‘Truffles’. Each Truffle offers cozy comfort and off-grid relaxation, with space for two adults (and up to two children in select Truffles).
Unwind under the curved ceiling, snuggle up with a good book, or sip your favorite drink in a hammock by the window. Explore the woodland, spot wildlife, and enjoy al fresco feasting.
How many people does a 'Truffle' cater for?
Each Truffle comfortably accommodates two adults, with the option for two children to join. Experience cozy relaxation in our spacious retreats, designed to cater to the needs of both couples and small families.
Is the site suitable for young children?
Yes, Honeydown is suitable for children who love the outdoors! Our wooded space is carefully managed to minimize risks while preserving the natural environment. However, please keep in mind that it is still a woodland setting, allowing little adventurers to embrace the wonders of nature.
What facilities are there on site?
Our site offers a range of facilities for your comfort and convenience. Each Truffle is equipped with a wood-burning stove, BBQ, and a single gas hob. You’ll also have a private kitchen prep area. The shower and toilet facilities are a short walk away, with each Truffle allocated its own bathroom. Additionally, Hatherleigh is within walking distance and boasts two excellent pubs, a café, and a farm shop for your convenience.
Do you allow pets at Honeydown?
We kindly ask that you do not bring dogs to our site, as it is not suitable for our furry friends. We want to ensure a peaceful and safe environment for all guests. Thank you for your understanding.
Do we need to bring anything for a stay?
For your stay, we recommend bringing wellies if you plan to explore the woodland and a torch for late-night returns, as the pathways are not lit. We provide an initial amount of firewood, but extra can be purchased on-site. As it can get chilly in winter, bedding is provided, but you may want to bring extra blankets. You can order a hamper of local food goodies for your arrival (details emailed after booking). Made-Well cafe and shop nearby offer locally grown produce, and a Co-op and small farm shop are within easy reach.
